Nope I said to these…being concerned about performance, quality, and virtually no way to test drive before buying. An internet order for these had no guarantee of satisfaction, a return requires the buyer to pay shipping and a large restocking fee. A local dealer was even unable to provide one for a test drive. This was all suspicious.\n\nThen comes Robooter which I found on Amazon. It is of impressive design with more genuine technical features and ability than I could imagine. I wanted to order on the spot but was concerned to confirm their return policy is as stated by Amazon.\n\n\"Ships from Amazon, Sold by ROBOOTER USA, Returns Eligible for Return, Refund or Replacement within 30 days of receipt, Product support included\"\n\nI gave Robooter a call and was assured return was as stated with no return shipping fee and no unstated strings attached. DONE DEAL. I ordered as soon as I hung up.\n\nI could go on-and-on, but I am MORE than satisfied with my purchase and interactions with all their folks.\nCUSTOMER SERVICE, SATISFACTION, AND SUPPORT? I’VE NEVER HAD BETTER! The following is my experience...\n\nThe performance of my chair was stellar with one exception. A few times a day it would freeze, give an audible warning (machine protection), and display a code. I thought perhaps I was straining it in some way. I observed the next few instances and decided there was no physical cause for it to fault. I exchanged messages with Robooter though Amazon, with prompt replies, and then got a call. Their engineers had been unable to determine the exact cause, so they were immediately shipping me a new chair. The probable cause was the lower controller board, but they were not positive. I asked that the engineers be advised that I am capable with electronics service and that they ship me a board to install. If successful, this would save time and a huge amount of expense on their part. A text the next day had the tracking number and a link to an installation video. I installed the board, and the chair is working perfectly with no more fault codes. Great customer support? YEP.\n\nNow my only suggestion for Robooter. The remote-control app is very useful. The battery (2 supplied with purchase) has a strap making it easy to lift out; most of all, it can be controlled, even driven with an app. Trade-offs: the Robooter is heavy, so not easy to lift and put in a car, HOWEVER, it can be automatically folded flat, and while in a closed state, can be driven up a ramp to fit in the back of a vehicle.; yes, you will need a telescxoping ramp that expands to 8-10'. Cost: Then cost may be prohibitive for a lot of people, but it has a lot of VALUE and will likely never be approved my Medicare. My experience was that Medicare provides you a choice (red or blue) of either a 200 lb, non-folding bulky power chair, or a power scooter---both based on 40-50 year old designs (and each requiring a car rack attached to the back of your car. I decided a long time ago that I needed to save for my own modern wheelchair. I thought the folding power chair was the best I could do, but the Robooter is the absolutely the ultimate. One more note, if you are intimidated by buttons, computers, apps and modern electronics in general, you will have a hard time adapting. I think it only needs a name change! Within a day of the chair’s arrival, I talked, texted and emailed with Kai, who is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and does exactly what he says he will. Because of my lack of experience, I had numerous questions which he answered fully and patiently. I had one concern about some wrinkles in the fabric of the seat back and Kai made sure the fabric was replaced with no questions asked!\n\nOne fun thing is how many residents stop me to look at and talk about my “space ship,” which is what many of them call it. The men all want to inspect the tires because they are so different from any tires they’d seen. I don’t know much about tires but I do love that they allow me to make a 360 turn … especially nice in the elevators. After I had gotten a few miles of experience, I drove it to a wide hall and did spins while my audience laughed and applauded.\n\nWould I choose Robooter again? You betcha!
